Hydrogen cars (fuel cell vehicles) are a type of electric vehicle, but instead of using a battery, they generate electricity from hydrogen.
How they work:
Hydrogen stored in a tank reacts with oxygen in a fuel cell, producing electricity to power the car. The only emission is water.
Advantages:
Very fast refueling (3–5 minutes)
Long driving range (600–700 km)
Environmentally friendly (only water emission)
Disadvantages:
Very limited refueling infrastructure
High production cost
Lower energy efficiency compared to battery EVs
Conclusion:
Hydrogen cars are promising, but currently impractical for widespread daily use.
